Keesler Federal Credit Union will give away a new car to a qualifying member starting on June 30 and two additional drawings will be held this year. The drawings are part of Keesler Federal’s Member Giveback, whereby members are recognized and rewarded.
A member’s name will be randomly drawn (from qualifying entrants) to win a car on June 30, followed by additional drawings on September 15 and December 8.
To qualify, members must have at least one of the following products: vehicle loan, mortgage, share secured loan, credit card, signature loan, home equity loan or Kreditline; be the primary account holder of one product – either checking account, alternative share, Kasasa Saver, certificate, IRA, HIMMA or HIMMA Plus; have logged into online banking or mobile banking within 30 days. Members meeting these criteria are automatically entered.
James Hollingsworth, Keesler Federal Chairman of the Board, said the car giveaway expands an already robust Member Giveback program. Last year (2022), Keesler Federal awarded $11 million in giveback to members through monthly drawings and more.
“Keesler Federal began its Member Giveback program as a way to reward and exceed the expectations of our members, and we try and do that not just for one event but year-round,” Hollingsworth said. “We do this because it is our members who have made us one of the best credit unions in the nation.”
Since its beginning in 1947 as a small credit union serving Keesler Air Force Base, Keesler Federal has grown and prospered to become a $4.2 billion financial institution serving more than 300,000 members worldwide at 40 locations across multiple states and the United Kingdom. Today Keesler Federal is among the 100 largest credit unions nationally and now serves the Mississippi Gulf Coast, Jackson, Hattiesburg, Mobile, and greater New Orleans markets along with locations in the UK.
“Our growth can be linked to our commitment to deliver excellence in member services, but the member giveback program is another way that Keesler Federal stands out among other financial institutions.” said Andy Swoger, Keesler Federal CEO and President.
The Biloxi-based credit union also has a growing Community Giveback program implemented in all Keesler Federal markets. This program includes Backpacks for Bright Futures, CASA foster child support, support for veterans, make-a-wish, and events such as Eagles Under the Oaks (charity golf tournament) and First Responder of the Year recognitions.
